1930 Bentley Blower

This is a 1/12 scale model of a 1930 Bentley Blower racing car. Developed by the famous driver Henry Berkin and Amherst Villiers, this supercharged version of the 4.5 litre Bentley came in second in the 1930 French Grand Prix, recording a top speed of 135 miles per hour with an average of 89 miles per hour for 246 miles. The original version was developed by W. O. Bentley to race at Le Mans where it won in 1928. This 4 cylinder engine developing 240 hp at 4200 rpm.

To increase the realism of this plastic model I changed and/or added a multitude of detail items. In many places the plastic parts were replaced by metal to allow for further detailing. Well over 200 separate detailing parts were added. The model has working head, tail, dash, and running lights. A computer controlled sound card provides sounds for engine cranking, engine idle, horn, Bentley back story, and 1930s popular music.
