This is a 1/24 scale model of a very famous tram that has been in service in Barcelona, Spain for over 100 years. The real number 5 is driven by electric motors with power picked up from an overhead cable just as it always has been. There are even places on the tram route where the driver must get out and move the power pickup from one cable to another using an attached rope. My model is of the tram in its younger days. The street lights and tram cabin are lighted so you can see the driver and passengers.
