I worked on a golf course for several summers back in my high school and college days. It was hard work but overall a wonderful job. I learned a little about golf and a lot about grounds keeping. I have some fond memories of the tractors we used as our primary workhorses. There was a newish Ford (3000 series, I think) and a much older Ford (maybe a model 2N). I had to learn, sometimes the hard way, how to control these beasts and make them obey my wishes. I felt quite a bit of pride when I had finally mastered them. I quickly gave up on mastering golf.
I recently came across a CAD model of the Ferguson TE-20 which was produced in Britain from 1946 to 1956 and it puzzled me. This looked very much like the old Ford I had used those many years ago. Many details seemed to be exactly the same. I then discovered that Ford had licensed this Ferguson design for the US market. Although there are differences between the Ferguson TE-20 and the Ford, the basic look and function was very similar. My nostalgic model of the Ferguson TE-20 is big, about 1/8 scale (15” long) resin printed with some metal detailing. I hope you like it.
