Below I proudly present my Stuart #9 horizontal steam engine. I machined and built this engine from a set of wonderful castings made by Stuart Models in England. The castings were actually purchased by a friend’s father back in the 1980s. Unfortunately, he never got far into the build. I am guessing that life just got in the way and he put this aside. After my friend’s father passed away he offered me the castings for this and another Stuart engine. When I asked what he wanted for them he only said “I just want to see them finished.” I think he was pleased and I hope his father would have been pleased with the results.
