This is the Louise, a 1/26 scale model of a Thames River steamboat from the 1880s. Owners of these steam powered launches were typically very wealthy. There are now only a few replicas of these boats left. The details on this particular wood and metal kit were a little too chunky for me but I decided not to re-scale it. I do think it is a pretty boat that gives you the impression of what a luxury launch was like. Check out the silver tea service with lunch in the cabin and rich industrialist standing proudly in the rear of the boat !
